HAIRDRESSER / STYLIST

Team Rixon has an opportunity for an enthusiastic qualified Stylist / Colourist to join us and help create something unique and special for the women of Geelong. All manner of training is on offer, and we welcome any questions.

 

What the role parameters are:

 

  • Flexible part-time or full-time is on offer.

  • Salary: Above award and negotiable depending on experience

  • Hours will be rostered from Tuesday to Saturday

  • More hours are available if needed

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Someone who takes initiative and is accountable for their responsibilities

  • An enthusiastic, great communicator who wants to progress

  • Great team player who loves to work to build strong relationships with clients and peers

  • You must like to have fun, work passionately and enjoy what you do.

  • A history of working in hair & beauty is essential.

 

Must haves:

  • Excellent presentation with an upbeat, warm personality

  • Confident in meeting all types of new people

  • Can-Do attitude & willingness to support and direct others

  • Enjoys working with enthusiastic people

  • At least one year of experience in a hairdressing salon is essential.

RECEPTIONIST

The role of Salon Receptionist comes with a high degree of responsibility as you are the welcome face of Rixon Hairdressing.

What duties are required:

 

  • Clients' Greeting and Seating

  • Phone Answering and appointment making (Fundamental Computer Skills Required)

  • Salon Coordination and Support

  • Daily Till Reconciliation

  • General Reception and Salon Assistant Duties

 

What the role parameters are:

 

  • 19 hours per week.

  • Salary: $30 per hour

  • Wednesday, 9 am - 8 pm, and Thursday, 9 am - 6 pm

  • More hours will come available if needed

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Someone who takes the initiative and is accountable for their responsibilities

  • An enthusiastic, great communicator who wants to progress

  • Great team player who loves to work to build strong relationships with clients and peers

  • You must like to have fun, work passionately and enjoy what you do.

  • A history of working in hair or beauty is essential.

ASSISTANT

Areas of training provided:

 

  • Preparation of client for cutting and styling, including cleanse, treatment and massage

  • Preparation of client for colour services

  • Clients' Greeting and Seating

  • Client consultation

  • Salon Assistance and Support

  • Daily open and shut down

  • General Salon Assistant Duties

 

What the role parameters are:

 

  • Approximately 20 hours per week.

  • Salary: Above award rate with opportunity for an increase

  • Rostered Hours are between Tuesday to Saturday

  • More hours will come available if needed

  • Someone who takes the initiative and is accountable for their responsibilities

  • An enthusiastic, great communicator who wants to progress

  • Great team player who loves to work to build strong relationships with clients and peers
